Information

Rangiora Vet Centre has been serving the North Canterbury community for over 50 years.  We are proud to have third generation families as part of our client base.

In addition to our main clinic in Rangiora, we have a smaller clinic located in Kaiapoi, at the corner of Hilton and Williams St, opposite McDonalds.

Though the clinic has grown rapidly in recent years, the guiding principles remain unchanged:

  • To provide exceptional service to our clients
  • To encourage and fund continuing education in order to offer the highest standard of veterinary care, with innovative services and products
  • To show empathy and respect to all our clients, their animals and within our team.

We currently employ a dedicated team of 14 vets and 18 supports staff.  We are proud to be part of such a thriving community and support many local events, including the recent Rangiora Santa parade and the recent SPCA cupcake day.

As a multi discipline practise, we cater for a variety of animals from kittens to the lions at Orana Park.

Rangiora clinic update

We moved into our new purpose-built clinic just before Christmas, 2013. Our clients and staff are delighted with the facilities - from our extensive retail area through to the in-house laboratory. The flooding in North Canterbury in June caused extensive damage to the building, but with help from staff and clients alike the clinic was open for business the next day. Ben Davidson (partner at RVC) said he was humbled by the level of support from the local community. Repairs to the building are due to commence in the next few months.

Open Day

Thank you to all our clients and suppliers who attended our open day and for your wonderful feedback! Over 2000 people took the opportunity wander through the clinic and see first-hand what goes on behind the scenes at a vet clinic. Our younger visitors were delighted with the activities such as pony rides, face-painting and the bouncy castle.
